Here at The Fox we are proud of our range of six real ales. We love to stock local brews too to showcase the local talent. A popular local ale is ‘Trappers Hat’ which is brewed just down the road from us in Brimstage. We change our guest ales regularly to keep our beer choice fresh and interesting.
We have a premium choice of lagers,ciders and stouts on our bar including: Fosters (4.0%), Kronenbourg 1664 (5%), Guinness (4.2%), Peroni (5.1%), HopHouse (5.0%), Heineken (5.0%)

Brimstage Brewery Trappers Hat 3.8% ABV
A refreshingly hoppy session beer. Gold coloured with a complex bouquet, it provides a mouthful of fruit zest, with hints of orange and grapefruit. This was our first brew and remains the most popular having won several awards.
Theakston Best Bitter 3.8% ABV
This fine, golden coloured beer has a full flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. With a good bitter-sweet balance this beer has a robust hop character described as citrus and spicy. It’s a refreshing and very satisfying pint – noted for the aroma of its fuggles and dry hopping strain Golding to add to its characteristic Theakston aroma.
Old Peculiar 5.6% ABV
A rich, dark, smooth-tasting beer with an unequalled flavour. Brewed using the traditional fuggle hop, Old Peculiar is a well-known beer and has a large and enthusiastic following all over Britain and around the world.
Timothy Taylor Boltmaker 4.0% ABV
The brewers’ favourite. Named after one of our favourite local pubs, Boltmaker is a well-balanced Yorkshire bitter that was awarded Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 2014.
